Working Waterfront (Henry Point) has received approval for its second grant: $1.2 million for the second phase of the project. It is hoped Phase One will break ground this year.
The Jonesport town line sign has been redone. It can be installed once the posts are changed out at the Jonesboro/Jonesport town line. The sign at the Addison/Jonesport town line will be next.
Jonesport-Beals Garden Club has ordered seeds and started planting for the upcoming veggie and flower season. Be on the lookout for their flower boxes and planters beautifying Jonesport this spring and summer. How many places around town can you find them?
Richardson Cemetery has been restored after extensive damage from the January 2024 storm. Carver Construction of Jonesport performed the work.
Flying high: An American flag and a Jonesport America flag have been donated to the town. Both flags will be flying at Arnold Memorial Medical Center.
The Veterans Memorial (VM) site, located at 17 High St., now has a ramp for access to the town beach. The VM committee plans to install fencing and landscaping this summer.
